Another Type of Ornament

Becca at AmazingPaperGrace.com makes the most incredible creations. Well, she created an ornament on her site utilizing the Spellbinders new item with the Fleur de lis. I loved it but finances were tight right now, so I created the same thing in Adobe Illustrator. However, I had some problems with it when trying to move into an SVG for SCAL. So, I went to the CraftEdge boards and someone there was so nice to help me get it to work right and then I cut this out using my SCAL. It is still a little rough...but I think getting there. I didn't have any ribbon spools to use as Becca did so I butted them up to one another. What do you think?

Nancy, this is stunning!! And created in SCAL? I'm so curious how did you get the image into Illustrator? I have a dusty Craftrobo that I vow I'm going to become proficient at. This is truly beautiful!

Becca, Wow, Stunning? From you that is an incredible compliment! I took an svg of a fleur de lis and worked it into a square in Illustrator. Then with the help of some people on the craftedge forums they helped me clean it up some and viola. It worked. I was so excited! I can email you svg if you want it. I have no idea what the Craftrobo is, but I love my cricut.

Gorgeous! I wonder how I could do something like that in DS?

I'm sure DS has some designs that you could put together something like that. I will look through my cartridges and see if I can do anything and post some directions for you. Stay posted!
